Please note: Q Psych does not accept insurance toward payment of evaluations. Most evaluations consist of a clinical interview, testing, and feedback session to discuss results. 50% of the rate is due on the day of the clinical interview; the remaining balance is due at the time of the feedback session, when the report of findings is reviewed with the client.
Psychological evaluations are intended to assess for the presence of a psychological disorder, provide clarity on the cause of symptoms, and inform the course of treatment. Emotional, behavioral, and social problems can result from any number of stressors, as well as from medical, neurological, and psychological issues.
An evaluation at Q Psych begins with a detailed clinical interview. One or more psychological tests (e.g., questionnaires and rating scales) are then utilized to help to identify the presence and severity of symptoms. Once complete, a feedback session is held in which evaluation results are discussed and recommendations are provided; clients are also provided with a detailed written report of findings and recommendations.
