In the state of Pennsylvania, a Lethal Weapon Certification (i.e, an Act 235 or Act 120 evaluation) requires an examination by a licensed psychologist. The purpose of this examination is to ensure that individuals who are certified to carry firearms in the course of their occupational duties are mentally and emotionally capable of doing so safely and responsibly. Some of these occupations include work as an armed guard, police officer, private investigator, bodyguard, and forest ranger. Examinations are performed in-person in the comfort of our offices at 1 Bala Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, PA. Results are submitted to the State within 48 hours of testing completion.
